The Truth About Cat's Claw (Uncaria tomentosa)

For centuries, Cat's Claw, sourced from the Amazon rainforest, has been used by indigenous communities as a natural remedy. The World Health Organization (WHO) has also recognized this herb as a natural immunostimulant.

Two species of Cat's Claw are generally used medicinally, but only the root of Uncaria tomentosa is known to be highly beneficial. While the plant itself is common in the rainforest, the challenge lies in the trade: the market is primarily based on the plant's bark, which has limited potential. The root is a small part of the plant, making its harvest and trade less cost-effective. As a result, traders frequently sell the bark while claiming it is the root, making it difficult for consumers to purchase the genuine, beneficial product.

Traditional Use and Modern Application

Amazonian native medicine men traditionally prepare a tea from the Cat's Claw root, consumed over a specific period depending on the health condition. It has historically been a foundational element for boosting immunity. However, the refined bark or root is notoriously bitter, making it quite unpleasant to consume in its raw form.

To address this, we developed a powerful extraction process, creating 500 mg capsules with a 10:1 Cat’s Claw root extract.

Initial Studies and Amazing Results

In association with a famous oncologist in Serbia, we began initial trials involving patients undergoing chemotherapy. The oncologist administered four capsules of our Cat's Claw extract daily during the post-chemotherapy period, and the effect was significant. The patients' recovery time was reduced substantially, and the life expectancy of participants during the treatment was notably prolonged.

While we cannot claim Cat's Claw is a cure for cancer, this evidence suggests it could be a valuable component of preventative care or a powerful aid for recovery after chemotherapy.

Antiviral and Digestive Benefits

We have confirmed the herb’s antiviral properties were effective against herpes. My first patient, an elderly relative whose lower leg was severely infected by herpes, was completely cured within two weeks using our Cat's Claw extract capsules. The nurse caring for him had tried all known remedies, none of which were effective until he tried our product. Since then, I have received numerous positive reports regarding both types of herpes: zoster and simplex.

We have also found that a daily dose of two capsules is effective in reducing symptoms such as skin reddening and other dermal changes caused by immune or allergic reactions.

In 2016, following a short trip, my own blood test revealed elevated levels of Helicobacter pylori and Candida. I took 2 times 2 capsules of our Cat's Claw extract daily for a few weeks and resolved both disorders. I have since recommended it to everyone I know with gut issues. A close friend, who suffered from chronic gastritis for over 10 years, claims that no medical drug calmed his stomach as effectively as our capsules.

Other Traditional Uses

In Peru, medics consider Cat's Claw to be helpful in naturally reducing high blood pressure. While I have not had a sufficient number of volunteers for a formal trial, I strongly recommend it to anyone with hypertension. Traditionally, it has also been used to treat inflammation and to promote the healing of internal and external wounds.

Viral and immune-related illnesses are often relatively easy to manage with two capsules of our product, Nuestra Willkakkora, daily. We contracted the virus but only experienced a mild cough, which we attribute to the daily use of our product.
