COCOA IS NOT SAFE TO USE

Along with corn, soy, wheat and banana, cocoa is by far the most modified food. Over the past 70 years, it has been endlessly hybridized and lately genetically modified. It has a completely degenerate genome, so there is no similarity with original cocoa any more.


The word Criollo in Spanish means native, local, original. The Spanish conquerors called the first cacao they found Criollo, even though it happened in Central America, far from its homeland. Since then, the term has been used, with a bunch of conflicting explanations, none of which have anything to do with the truth. Cocoa originates from Amazon's upstream, from the territory of Peru. So domestic, original, or Criollo could only be called such.

The modified varieties of cacao, as we know them today, bear no resemblance to the original plant. The modern GMO cocoa tree grows up to 6 meters in height, it is resistant to all pests.
